Bad days don’t have to be bad

Some days start out really funny and it makes you wonder what you did wrong to deserve a bad day. Such days sometimes end up as bad weeks, months and sometimes years, if not managed properly

The beautiful thing about bad days however is that God is usually present with us in it. Although, we sometimes take this fact for granted or believe things cannot be so bad if He is actually so near.

PSALM 34: 18

“The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.”

Surprisingly, God sometimes uses such moments to get our attention, or to draw us closer to His purpose for our lives.

This write up is a product of one of such days, and it took me having to put the devil in his place before I could come out of the frustrations that came with a day that began like the whole world was going to come crashing on me and it looked like my heart was so heavy it was going to burst open.

Accepting that a day is bad and as such nothing can be done about it is a simple way of telling the devil he won! That sounds bad to me, but it is the truth. No matter how bad things get, there is always a need to quietly seek God and find out what He intends to bring out of such unpleasant situations, knowing that He knows all things.

DEUTERONOMY 29: 29

” The secret things belong unto the LORD our God……”

In my case, I had one of those days recently and it started really bad. I had a drama presentation, and all I wanted to do was to get the presentation done with and find a place to be alone with God! I was not so excited about the presentation, I must say! But I did what I had to do and the next question I asked myself was “where am I going, now that the presentation is over ?”

I then picked a venue in my heart and it ended up been a place I have not visited in about 4 months to meet with God personally, which used to be the case prior to this time. On arrival, I heard God say “Welcome Home.” I smiled, knowing that where I was at that point in time is going to be a place of privacy that enables me write for my long neglected blog. The question is what if I had not decided to turn to God, by deciding to go and be alone with Him somewhere really private? What if I had just agreed to the lie of the devil that the day was already bad and there was no remedy ? I simply would have missed the plan God had for me on that fateful day, though it was wrapped up in a morning that began in a funny way.

ROMANS 8: 28

“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose.”

God is always near to respond and ensure that your peace is restored and His goodness flows through your heart again, as you trust Him for a beautiful experience in what looks like a bad day.

JOHN 16: 33

“These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”

All days are good, as long as Christ is fully involved. What you call a bad day can be the beginning of new things in your life, because God made all things , including such days good.
