Dear God, when we think about how beautiful the things in this world are, the families and friends You have given to us, it is possible to think that it is a good idea to remain here on earth forever. The truth, however, is that You have a better place for us and what we have now cannot be compared to what we shall have in Your Kingdom. As beautiful as this world is and as much as we love those You have given to us to live a good life with, this is still not Home. Home is where there is no war, violence, shame and death. Home is where You are. Teach me to grow more in the understanding of how beautiful and restful the place You have prepared for those who will abide with You till the end is. The clearer the picture of where You have prepared for the Saints becomes to me, the less distracted I will get by the amazing things You have provided for me to enjoy while I am here on earth. I will yet live for You while I am here. AMEN.
