Dear God, I do not ever want to forget who I am. Help me not to forget my name and identity in You. I am a new creature, Your friend and a joint heir with Christ. When the floods and the fires of life rage, remind me of what Your grace makes available to me despite all odds. Remind me of who I am to you when I feel I am undeserving of Your love and affection. When I miss the way and consider staying far away from Your wide open arms of grace and mercy, Remind me I am the one You call the beloved, chosen and precious jewel of the Greatest of all. If I ever need to hear it over and over again that I am Yours, Remind me continuously so I do not forget who I am. As You remind me of who I am, Remind me of who You are. If I constantly remember who You are, I will not be moved or shaken by what moves those who do not know who You are. You are who You say You are in every situation of life and I want to be constantly reminded of You being the I Am that I Am. Remind me of the things You have done in the past so that I will not forget what You are capable of doing in the present and future. AMEN.
