Savior, more than life to me,

Dear God, You desire that I treasure You above all things, including my life. I am willing to give away all that I have, am or desire to become just so I can cling close to You. The price You paid for my salvation is so great it cost You Your blood. I am reminded that if I value my life in this world more than I value my Precious Saviour, I cannot be His disciple. The treasures of this world are constantly fading away yet its beauty is a snare for the undiscerning. I need You to guide me as I pass through this land of pilgrimage that lasts for a very short time so that I will not be lost in the midst of the crowd. There is no beauty that can be compared to that which You possess and so I ask that You help me to grow in my love for You until I see You in glory. AMEN.
