Dear Father, let my loyalty and commitment be guided by Your Spirit. Search me and take far away from me every unacceptable, hypocitical or deceptive loyalty that makes me unworthy to stand before You. I choose to follow You in the way that You lead me by Your Spirit, even when it does not make sense to me or others. Let Your desire be my desire, regardless of what it sounds or looks like. Just as the sheep knows and follows the voice of the shepherd, so will I listen and follow Your voice and leading in every season of my life. To follow the wrong people is to abide in the wrong place at the wrong time or sometimes being at the right place, doing the wrong thing. May I discern perfectly well who to journey with and what You will have me do in this season of my life, so that I will not be misguided and led out of Your will for my life. Help me to remain loyal and committed to You most importantly. Let my commitment and loyalty to humans be in line with your Word and plans for my life. Let it not be as a result of fleshy or worldy desires and self inspired aspirations. Let my loyalty indeed be like that of Ruth who looked beyound the sufferings, shame and loss that had become a part of Naomi’s life, knowing fully well that the God of Israel is capable of changing stories for His glory. I am blessed indeed because my genuine loyalty to You is till eternity. AMEN.
