Trusting the Original Inventor

There is no hiding place for us as humans, neither is it possible for us to do without God. As much as man’s innovations makes man feel he does not need God, the truth is “Every of man’s innovation is a product of God’s invention.”

Adam and Eve had just done what God asked them not to do (GENESIS 3:1-6). In a bid to cover up their mess, as a result of the sudden naked state they discovered they were in, they made for themselves clothing, but it was actually out of what God created – Leaves from a tree. This tells us that man cannot do without God, neither can man’s rebellion make him superior to God.

As if that was not enough, the clothing man made for himself could not serve as a shelter for man, because when Adam and Eve heard the voice of God, guilt, shame and fear drove them into hiding….but they actually hid themselves amongst what God invented -The trees of the garden. (GENESIS 3:8)

As much as some people make the old testament look like it is obsolete, it remains the Word of God and each and every lesson God wants us to learn from it is undeniably helpful in molding us into who God wants us to be. Hence, the reason it is a part of the Bible as a whole.

2 TIMOTHY 3:16
All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.”

God knows we need His Word to be able to avoid every trap, deception and manipulations of the devil, which is the reason He gave us His Word as a guide, guard and model.

The sad thing however is that man still tries to hide under his own innovations, forsaking the truth available in the inventions of God.

Little wonder, there are several books, sermons and other innovations of man that tries to defend all that God condemns. Amazingly, such materials are backed up with Words from the Invention of God- The Bible, but such Words are used heretically. 2 PETER 2: 1

It does not matter how much we try to hide from God and the Truth in His Word, or act like we do not need Him, God remains the Inventor of all things and he can never be wrong. When it comes to God and man, if anyone is ever wrong, it is the innovator (Man), not the Inventor (God).

Stop struggling with His settled Word, just be still and know that He is too Holy to deceive or beguile you, as the devil did in the garden of Eden, by making himself look like the Inventor of life and death.

GENESIS 3: 4-5

” Then he serpent said to the woman, “You will not surely die. For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”

We all need God, more than we need any other thing in life. There is a need to trust in the Inventor, more than we trust in any deceptive innovations. There is also a need to make use of His inventions to innovate what is acceptable in His sight.
