The year 2020 has indeed been a tough year. Some people are definitely affected more than others. While some seem not to understand why people are suffering far or near, some others are probably praying and wondering why things are still this way even as the year is gradually coming to an end, yet there are several things that look unsorted.
There’s so much pent up emotion, pain and grief with believers wondering if God has let us down while some others are totally losing faith. However, it is at times like this that we need all the encouragement we can get.
Humanly speaking, things may not look as bright as we desire, there is a need for us to remember He is our Source of hope. He is a Firm foundation that does not let His own down. This tells us how that we are not only His own, but the world at large is His own and He will not abandon the work of His hands.
So whether in pain or in laughter this song is a reminder, oh dear child of the Covenant keeper, that great is God’s faithfulness and that He expects you to keep on keeping in faith. It is a beautiful song to help you pull through, to remind you and me of God’s promise to help build our faith, no matter what comes our way.
