Maybe you’ve found yourself in a place where you literally have nothing left and you can feel walls closing in on you. Your faith is depleted and wavering as wind, your doubts are overwhelming you, you’re fearful about the future, and to make matters worse, you’re beginning to doubt God. Your mind keeps struggling to align with that Word of God you confess or read. You’ve got nothing left to offer others and certainly nothing left for yourself.
If you’re in that space, you’re not alone and you won’t be the first dear reader. I recently found myself in a situation where I felt like giving up. I felt broken and hurt and though the Holy spirit kept reminding me of my daily confessions about my triumph in dire situations, I couldn’t help but feel broken. Maybe it’s okay to feel that way, but it’s definitely not ok to stay that way. The good news is that God’s Word is the perfect place to be built back up again.
So, whether you fall to your knees crying out, shouting at the top of your lungs like Samson , or simply speaking in barely audible tones like Hannah softly in the quiet of your heart, make these truths what you stand on. Remind your heart of the Word of God that stands sure and steadfast. Not only today, but every day. Mastery of an art isn’t achieved in a day. It’s not a mile stone, but a marathon. Remind your heart what triumph in God feels like, remind your tongue that this Word of God is true and steadfast. Practice that laugh and jump for joy because 2 Corinthians 2:14 says “Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth (“insert your name”) to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of His knowledge by me in every place.
Proverbs 3:23, 1 Corinthians 15:57
Confession
God’s perfect strength is deposited into me “insert your name” when I declare His truth over my life and family .
