Sensitive to Prophecies ?

It is quite interesting to know that a lot of things going on now in the world should not be as surprising as it really is, considering that there are prophecies that precede these happenings. These prophesies are meant to inform, prepare and warn us of whatever is to be known or avoided.

Prophecies are the foretelling or prediction of what is to come. It is one of God’s ways of revealing both His plans and that of His enemy and the enemy of man to him. Sadly, man fails to carefully search God’s Word for what He already predicted, which makes it difficult to understand God’s intention for whatever He reveals ahead of time.

That there is so much violence, rebellion, hate, lawlessness, persecutions, the falling away of the Elect, ungodly desires, deception, love of self, the desire for the things that perish with the world more than the things that have Eternal value, lukewarmness, increase in number of Churches which ultimately enables the spreading of the Gospel of Christ, and the display of religiosity in the place of Spirituality, should not come as a surprise to any Bible loving person.( 2 TIMOTHY 3:1-5, MATTHEW 24 :12, MATTHEW 24:14)

Take note that I did not say a Bible reading individual, because some read to find faults, draw people away from what they believe to be true or destroy the faith of other people. The ones called the Lover of the Bible on the other hand read to know more about the Love that set them free, and how they can apply His Word to their life, in order to please Him and bring others to Him.

Fault finders will always be actively involved in helping God’s enemy- the Devil, to carry out his plan to steal, to kill and to destroy the truth of God’s Word that has being planted in man (JOHN 10:10), but they are bound to fail.

This is not new, considering that Jesus Himself encountered such people while He was on earth. These kind of people mix with the crowd and are considered as one of us, but their intention is not to bring God glory, but to do all they can to point at what they consider wrong with the Gospel, and bring about confusion, and ultimately the falling away of the insensitive Elect.

LUKE 6: 7

” The scribes and the Pharisees were watching Him closely to see if He healed on the Sabbath, so that they might find reason to accuse Him.”

Prophesies are sold for money in these present generation and it is quite sad. That so-called Believers fall for this unbiblical act of men is what makes it a sad thing. Interestingly, these kind of prophesies are such that builds the ego of men, predicts their financial, marital, emotional, ministerial, career or academical success, but fails to point at their spiritual state.

Such prophesies are based on what man wants to hear and not what God has to say, because if it is God saying it, it will come with instructions that will call for sober reflection, diligence, consecration, and a life of Holiness, all of which man wants to skip, yet get the prophetic blessings.

It will be really sad to realize that despite every prophesy that speaks about the return of Christ, the signs of the end time and the warnings given to us, we still find ourselves left behind for one reason or another.

MATTHEW 24:33

“So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.”

The signs are all around us. Prophecies are being fulfilled. The end is nearer than it was few years ago. There is a need to be sensitive to every prophecy that points at the return of Christ, and this comes from loving His Word and living by it.
