This is my take…
He did not have to do it,
but yet He did!
Humanity could not see it,
His worth unknown to mankind,
A Treasure unnoticed by many,
A Precious gift rejected,
Still He proved Himself;
A proof of His love indeed.
Quietly and willingly He followed,
A lead that will cost Him everything,
His blood and His life.
The price was huge,
Yet He went ahead,
It was all about saving humanity,
He did not have to do it,
But He did it;
A proof of His love indeed.
It was needful that He did it,
But He was not under compulsion to do it,
Humanity was a mess,
In need of a Savior,
A perfect sacrifice to pay the price,
For sin to lose its grip over mankind,
“I am the Way, the Truth and the Life”
This He said to reveal His person and purpose
Yet humanity could not hear this
Even today, humanity still fails to hear…
Yet He keeps calling,
Knowing the price He paid
The pains of the nail,
As it pierced through His hands and feet
His sweat and tears rolled down like blood
All for humanity sake,
A mess indeed man was,
In need of a Saviour
A willing and selfless Lamb to the rescue.
“Search no further” He said
My blood I willingly shed,
My life I willingly give.
All the way to Calvary He went for humanity,
He died and rose from the grave,
Nothing was capable of stopping Him.
Oh! how I love this blameless yet selfless Lamb
Who looked beyond the passion and pride of man
Yet gave man life in the place of death.
Because He lives, I live.
He is alive forever more so I have eternal life in Him.
