Hey there! My name is Temitope Akinrotimi and I am so glad you are here

I am passionate about helping people discover who they are in Christ and proclaiming the gospel to the nations.

After spending several years as the leader of a children and teenagers ministry in my local assembly and a mentor to several young people in various continents, I attended the prestigious Victory College in Tulsa, Oklahoma where I obtained a Diploma in Missions & Ministry. I also hold a degree in Public Administration.

I am also a trained event planner and interior decorator who loves beautifying and organizing spaces. In my downtime you will find me trying out new recipes and spending quality time with my lovely husband who is also into core missions & ministry.

What I've Been Up To Recently

  • Every week I and my awesome team of contributors write inspiring, thought provoking and life transforming articles to stir up our faith in God.
  • Every week I have candid conversations on the Tongue of the learned podcast with diverse guests on issues affecting us in the society filtered through the christian faith.

One of my life long goals include building special homes for vulnerable and indigent young people scattered all around the continent of Africa.

It is my desire that you join me as we share our stories together and learn from one another’s trials, pain, shame, mistakes, defeat, victories, testimonies, blessings and joy, all of which are the reason we are unstoppable and victorious.

Welcome to the table of meals made for the soul

The Journey So Far

It all began with the saving grace that gave me a new beginning. So amazing a grace that found me while I was undeserving.

No one needed to tell me it was the kind of love no one else could show me. It was the kind of love I had searched for all my life and could not find.

A love that qualified me when I was obviously unqualified, so great a love that overwhelmed me so much I could not let go.

It is therefore not about me, but it is about the greatest love I ever experienced and cannot but talk about. A love story that is renewed every day, giving me a reason to talk about my Lover and His amazing acts and ways.

I probably have not been through a lot, compared to what some other people have been through, but I have most definitely been through more than a lot of people have experienced and this gives me an understanding of the fact that life throws various things at different people, not minding your colour, race, educational background, or religion.

I grew up as an only child of my mum, a single mum who always wanted the best for her little girl. I experienced the negative effect of separated parents, had a father, but it never seemed like I had one, considering he was never there as much as I can remember, yet my heart loved him dearly.

That is not all to know about me, considering that I have some wonderful experiences as well.

I have always loved to write and since I am an only child who spent most of her growing up days in the walls of a boarding school, I kept writing my mum letters that I gave to her each time she visited me in school.

My letters were always about who beat me, insulted me or got on my nerves in school and my mum will always encourage me to stand up and defend myself.

I think I got my ability to speak up from the fact that my mum never defended me despite me reporting anyone and everyone to her.

Fast forward to my teenage years, it was a period of searching for answers to questions I could not find the right person to ask.

I searched and longed for quietness in my heart but could not find it for a very long time until I met the best Lover ever – Jesus Christ.

He did not just become the person I can talk to, but that one person who was willing to listen to me at any point in time. He became that instructor and teacher who was not out to condemn me or throw my weakness at my face.

He became the only one who despite my mistakes, was willing to correct me and help me to become a better person.

Another thing that makes my world a beautiful place is the fact that I am married to an amazing, sweet and supportive man whose love for God and a strong belief in my ability to be who God wants me to be keeps me going and makes me want to leave this world empty, knowing that I have done all I was created to do
