I was obviously tired and all I could think of was to hit my well laid bed and enjoy a smooth ride into dreamland. To my amazement, my Spirit disagreed with the choice my body just made. I could hear myself grumbling in my head , as I “screamed silently,” not having the gut to say aloud the words out of my mouth, knowing fully well that the voice that disagreed with my body’s decision to sleep was no other person’s, but God’s. “Can’t I just get a little more hours of sleep, despite the stress of the day?” I asked. All I heard after that was nothing but silence. I was left with making a choice and I bet you are trying to guess what choice I made.
The choice I made was to sleep. I was obviously tired that night and the moment I Heard God say to me clearly….. “Study the Word before you sleep.” I immediately turned off the lamp, as I gave a numerous reasons I had to sleep. Interestingly, I slept off almost immediately. The truth is I definitely missed out on what God had to say that night, and it was no one else’s fault but mine.
When I woke up the next day, two people whom I did not talk to about my act of disobedience the night before spoke about taking God’s simple instructions for granted and how our disobedience does not affect God, but affects us in several ways. Although they both said it briefly and at different times, I knew it was God talking to me through them…… After all, He once spoke though a donkey, all in a bid to correct an erring man, how much more His own children.
NUMBERS 22:28
” And the Lord opened the mouth of the ass, and she said unto Balaam, What have I done unto thee, that thou hast smitten me these three times?
And Balaam said unto the ass, Because thou hast mocked me: I would there were a sword in mine hand, for now would I kill thee.
And the ass said unto Balaam, Am not I thine ass, upon which thou hast ridden ever since I was thine unto this day? was I ever wont to do so unto thee? and he said, Nay”Read More »Making the Right Choice Attracts God’s Blessings

There are quite a lot of things we would have been able to achieve as God’s creation if we look beyond diversity in culture, belief and tradition, and language. God expects us to see diverseness as His way of making life interesting. Sadly, living together as one big family despite cultural, religious, social and economical diversity can be a problem, if there is no right mind set.
Diversity, if not properly managed can breed hatred, insensitivity to the need of others, and the feeling superiority. In the sight of God however, no culture is better than another, neither is any people better than the others, to Him we are simply the work of His hands that He gave up His most precious gift for.
JOHN 3:16
“ For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
Jesus’s sacrifice of His life on the Cross of Calvary was not for a specific group of people alone, it was for all mankind. I am sure His heart beaks each time He sees us proudly displaying our disunity and intolerance of one another. As far as God is concerned, we are all His children, no matter our background, interests, language, culture, and traditions.Read More »Diversity- A Blessing, Not A Curse
