Cheers To Healthy Living 2

Still talking about Water…

Sure you had a lovely read last week and hope it helped in boosting your desire to take more water.

Today, we’ll be talking about Tips for water intake. If it wasn’t so easy for you to reach the recommended water intake level daily, last week, trust this week’s article to make it easier.

Tips for Water Intake

1. Pay attention to signals your body gives you. If you feel thirsty, drink. Please always have a bottle of water with you if possible.

2. Sip water throughout the day, instead of chugging full glasses. This helps your body absorb much better. Still have a bottle of water available at all times.

3. Drink water at room temperature or even warm water. Cold water slows digestive fire. (I’m so guilty of taking a lot of cold water so this advice is for me too).

4. At mealtimes, limit your water intake. Take a few sips before, during and after your meal if you like, but be aware that your digestion is weakened if you drink too much water while eating. (Very important)

5. If you think water is boring then you can try flavoring it. Try sliced cucumber or wedges of orange, lemon, or lime. Frozen berries sweeten your water and keep it cold at the same time. Fresh mint adds a refreshing zing to water. With so many different flavor options, it’ll be easy to drink more water!

And because I’m nice, I’ll throw in some bonus fun tips.

  • When you feel tired and you seem to have those headaches that accompany tiredness, take a cool glass of water and rest, it does works wonders.
  • Drinking water instead of soda can help with weight loss. Yes i said it and it’s been scientifically proven too.

So what are you waiting for? Cheers to drinking more water and staying healthy

Don’t forget to let me know how you’re doing in the comment section.
