Daily Declaration- The Act of Kindness

Dear God, Your kindness towards me proves Your genuine love for me. Kindness is what took You to the Cross. You did not just care enough to know that I was lost and needed to be saved. You took a step further by bearing the pain, shame and reproach of the Cross just to show how much You care about my fallen state. Just like You, teach me to be kind enough to a point where I will go the extra mile to make others happy. Your kindness gives me hope and I want to be just like You not just in words but also in deeds, so much that I will not just be nice to others but I will be willing to get dirty or worn out just to ensure life is less stressful for someone else. Life has a way of bringing back to us seeds sown. Teach me to constantly sow the seeds of kindness, so that I can reap the same when I need it most. The world needs selfless, loving and genuinely kind hearts that will teach others what Christianity is all about- Love for God and others. Teach me to be all about others just as much as I am about myself because this is the only proof that I love You and belong to You. Heal our world of the insensitivity to the timely need of others and let this healing begin with me as I walk in the full expression of Your nature of love that was planted in me the moment I got saved by Your grace. AMEN.
