Dear God, You are more than enough to fulfil all Your promises to Your people. It is true that a lot of times what we see around us makes it look so impossible to see the fulfilment of Your Word to us as individuals, families or a nation. Just like Israel, we are quick to forget Your great wonders of old. We cry over our fleshy desire for present meat, fish or food that satisfies temporarily. We compare the times of plenty in the land or times of slavery to the time of freedom and perseverance that leads us to a land flowing with milk and honey that You have promised us and we conclude that it is better to continue in slavery than to be free and lack meat to eat. You are Faithful in all You ways and You will not go back on Your Word regarding those who belong to You. When we wait on You and trust You despite what we see, it is counted unto us as righteousness. Humanly speaking, it really may not be easy to believe what You said based on all that we see with our physical eyes but the question You want us to ask ourselves is “Who said it?” If we can ask ourselves this question and the answer is ” God said it!”, we can relax, knowing fully well that there is nothing that we see in the present that is capable of stopping the fulfilment of Your Word to us as individuals, families or a nation. Teach me to keep my eyes on what You said and not on what I see because in this lies the victory You have in store for me. I choose freedom over bondage and I choose a land flowing with milk and honey over that which ends up in the “cool room”. We will trust Your Word as individuals, families and a nation because we know there is “nothing” too difficult for You. AMEN.
