The danger of impatience
We are usually encouraged to imbibe Patience as a worthy virtue. As a young child the quote “The patient dog eats the fattest bone” was regularly said to me by my elders.Read More »The danger of impatience

Everything God created is for a reason or several reasons. I have always said to myself that God has no reason to create what is of no use and this is based on my understanding of the fact that God is not a time waster, neither is He a resource waster. Contrary to what the enemy makes us think, God is too kind to withhold anything from those who love and honor Him. Talking about anything, when it comes to God, it can only be things that are true, honest, just, pure, lovely, and of good report. (PHILIPPIANS 4: 8)Read More »He Withholds Nothing Good
There is no hiding place for us as humans, neither is it possible for us to do without God. As much as man’s innovations makes man feel he does not need God, the truth is “Every of man’s innovation is a product of God’s invention.”
Adam and Eve had just done what God asked them not to do (GENESIS 3:1-6). In a bid to cover up their mess, as a result of the sudden naked state they discovered they were in, they made for themselves clothing, but it was actually out of what God created – Leaves from a tree. This tells us that man cannot do without God, neither can man’s rebellion make him superior to God.
As if that was not enough, the clothing man made for himself could not serve as a shelter for man, because when Adam and Eve heard the voice of God, guilt, shame and fear drove them into hiding….but they actually hid themselves amongst what God invented -The trees of the garden. (GENESIS 3:8)
As much as some people make the old testament look like it is obsolete, it remains the Word of God and each and every lesson God wants us to learn from it is undeniably helpful in molding us into who God wants us to be. Hence, the reason it is a part of the Bible as a whole.
2 TIMOTHY 3:16
“All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.”

One thing a lot of people crave for is change. The desire for change is the reason we make certain promises to God, ourselves, family and friends, believing we can fulfill those promises by our own effort. The sad news is you cannot effect any change without the help of the One who made you and knows your frame.Read More »Change is possible with God
When a person makes a promise, it is usually based on his or her ability. Sometimes however, failure is unavoidable by the one who makes a promise.
There are quite a number of things i remember from when i was growing up, one of which is my late Dad encouraging me to get better grades in Mathematics, because he was going to buy me a car to celebrate my 18th birthday, if i did better in the subject that made me cringe in fear.
I was well over the age of 18 when my dad passed away, and the least of the things on his mind was to buy me a car, considering that i had older siblings who were yet to get a car gift as at the time he passed away.
When a person becomes unable to do as he or she has promised, due to reasons beyond his or her control, it is simply because such a person’s ability is limited. God on the other hand is unlimited in all His ways and ability, so much that He cannot fail.
I am thinking about how much I love chocolates and the fact that it is said to be unhealthy, but I tell myself that it is too much of it that is called “unhealthy.” Several times, I have had to cross the red line , and I had to pay the price and live with the guilt that came with my unhealthy decision.
There is a lot of deception and distraction going on regarding the issue of money. A lot of people are of the opinion that Christians are meant to be poor. I used to think that way before I became a Christian and this is one of the reasons I was not willing to be a follower of Christ as a child, because I could not imagine living like a pauper all because I want to be a Christian.
This is however not what Got desires for His children. How can someone who owns everything desire that His children have nothing? God’s stand on the matter of money is that whoever has it in whatever quantity should have the knowledge of how to use it, hence the avoidance of abuse. Trusting in money is the problem, not having money itself. Read More »Trusting in God Or Riches?
