Contrary to what the enemy makes us think, God is too kind to withhold anything from those who love and honor Him. Talking about anything, when it comes to God, it can only be things that are true, honest, just, pure, lovely, and of good report. (PHILIPPIANS 4: 8)
A father who has several cars in His garage can be said to have no reason to let his child tour the city by having to make use of public transportation. The age of such a child, his or her health condition, the State or National laws of such a town can however limit how much such a father can make available one of his numerous cars to his beloved son as a means for him to drive himself around town with.
If it happens that one or more of the limitations listed above applies to the child in question, a wise father helps such a child to make the most sensible choice to get around town, which is the public transportation option or getting someone to drive the young boy around town.
This wise decision does not imply that the father with so many luxurious cars is wicked, uncaring, stupid or cowardly, it only shows how protective he is of his beloved son, considering he does not want his son getting into any issues with the law enforcement agents, as a result of his sons disobedience to the law of the land.
Interestingly, when the time is right for the beloved son of such a father to drive around town legally, qualified and graciously, the father can stand boldly and order the son to request for any of the cars available in his garage, or better still, make him request for what is presently unavailable, but can be provided by the good father.
A foolish father on the other hand does not put into consideration the unnecessary issues his son might be faced with, as a result of doing the right thing at the wrong time, which is in addition to going against the laws, rules or regulations of the land, and most importantly , the risk involved in his son going around town himself , though he is unqualified.
God is a good Father and He will never withhold any good thing from His beloved. He is always looking out for your good, even though everything going on around you may look otherwise, which is the reason He works in ways we cannot explain, neither can we fully comprehend, yet all His doings are based on how much He cares for His own.
Just like the boy whose father has numerous cars, yet he has to wait to be certified or approved fit to ride on His own, so is everyone who belongs to God. We have to learn to trust Him so much we can boldly say ” He is too good to withhold anything good from me, because I am His precious child.”
And Abram said, Lord God, what wilt thou give me, seeing I go childless, and the steward of my house is this Eliezer of Damascus?
And Abram said, Behold, to me thou hast given no seed: and, lo, one born in my house is mine heir.
And, behold, the word of the Lord came unto him, saying, This shall not be thine heir; but he that shall come forth out of thine own bowels shall be thine heir.
And he brought him forth abroad, and said, Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and he said unto him, So shall thy seed be. And he believed in the Lord; and he counted it to him for righteousness.”
Considering that God’s Word is ever true and sure, you can be certain that He will withhold no good thing from you, no matter how long it seems in your eyes or how impossible it looks to the world, as long as you abide in Him and trust Him absolutely, it will come to pass.
God will NEVER withhold anything good from His own! ( PSALM 84;11)
