“Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.
And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.
They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:
But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.
While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.
And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.
Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps.
And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.
But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.
Afterwards came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.
Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.”

Dear Lord, that You will return for the saints is not debatable. Considering that it has been long since You made mention of Your return, quite a lot of people have concluded that You are not coming back at all. Your Word is my first and final source of information and it tells me expressly that You are coming back for me- Your child. Help my heart to be strengthened and firm in the understanding of the truth about Your return. I am unaware of the day or time of Your long-awaited return but I am certain You will return just as You have said because I know You will not lie. While I wait for Your return, help me to be properly prepared because it is definitely not just about waiting but there is a need for me to wait properly. Help me to prepare for Your return as if each day I live were my last. In a world full of self deception, putting up of nice shows and people graciously going about with empty lamps that produce no light, help me not just to possess a lamp but let my lamp be filled with oil at all times so that I can be ready to meet You when You eventually come for those who belong to You. Teach me to live above the deception of being among them when in the real sense I am not considered as one of them. I choose to live my life in total submission to Your will and instructions because in the end, it will not be about how others perceive me but how You perceive me (As one of Your own and not just someone who was among them just to add to the numbers). So help me God. AMEN.
