The beginning of the year usually comes with high expectations and aspirations from people.
The challenge with a lot of us however is that we expect our expectations to come in specific packages and the moment this does not happen, we conclude nothing has actually happened to prove that God answered our prayers, heard our cry, granted our heart desires or paid attention to us.
Just like the Jews, who had a knowledge of God and looked forward to the coming of the Messiah but could not recognize the Messiah when He eventually came in the flesh, simply because He came in a package they never thought or imagined to be befitting for the King of the nations, a lot of people will no doubt have great expectations for 2021 but miss out on such desires because they will not be able to recognize the answers to their prayers, released miracles, all because of their limited vision and beclouded mind.
In 2021, may you see beyond your calculations, perception, conclusions, and several other limiting factors that are capable of making you miss the blessings God will release to you in unfamiliar packages (location, persons, groups, organizations, opportunities, career path and
ministries/ callings).
May your eyes be open to see as God sees so that your heart can conceive as He expects of you.
Look down on nothing or no one because you might just miss the people or things that truly matter. Position to see through the lens of the Spirit of God and you will definitely be able to discern between good and bad, lies and truth, sincerity and deception, light and darkness.
Like the Savior of the world who was born in a manger, had a very humble upbringing, was despised and rejected by many, your most desired expectations have tendencies of coming in unattractive packages. Will you be willing to look beyond the package? The wise men looked beyond the package and it earned them a memorial in the Scriptures. ( Luke 2:8-20)
Be sure to unwrap every package properly in 2021 before making an attempt to trash, discard or demean such packages because you might not only need to keep the gift wrapped therein but also that ugly looking package ( poor or dirty looking neighbor, bad tempered colleague, mean boss, annoying associates, unreasonable neighbor, insensitive spouse, etc) as well.
You gotta see what to let go of and what to hold tightly unto in 2021, talking about the power of choice! Somethings really have to go so you can make room for the things that matter to the fulfilling of destiny but you do not want to get it wrong.
