Dear God, there is no doubt about the fact that I am the salt of the earth. Salt, however, becomes of no use if it loses its taste. My saltiness is dependent on me been connected to the source of life Himself – Jesus. I desire to always be of value to You and the work of Your Kingdom here on earth. As valuable as everyone You created is supposed to be, considering that You called everything and everyone You created in the beginning ” very good”, individuals can choose to be of no value to You, Your Kingdom or others around them. Teach me to walk in the knowledge of who You created me to be- the taste in a tasteless world of despair and sorrow, a ray of hope in a hopeless world that rejects the Truth that Christ is, the flavour that brings life to every boring or dead situation. I am of so much value that I cannot afford to lose my taste and become irrelevant in Your scheme. Hold my hands as I journey through life and help me never to lose my taste or flavour so that I can be useful for You and everyone that crosses my path in life. AMEN.
